Ummmm... Was his nickname "The Kid"? I don't remember him having that nickname. You're pulling a Skip Bayless on Bosh Spice move. Disrespectful... What did Harold ever do to the kid on the mic behind this video?

A great video. One minor detail tho. That game wasn't even CLOSE to being one of Jordan's best game in 92-93. www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jordami01/gamelog/1993. In that season, Michael had 14 40+ point games and his season high was 64. That's just in the regular season, too. In the playoffs, he had 6 40+point games, including a streak of four games in the finals where he scored 42, 44, 55 and 41 from game 2 to game 5. He never scored below 31 in that series. So in prime Jordan standards, scoring 39 against an average team like Heat is a ho-hum performance.

How lucky is chicago that they got to have Micheal jordan . Must have been great in the 90s. I wonder if the trailblazers regret not getting mj with the 2nd pick. I know they already had future hall of Famer clyde drexler for awhile & must sting that he finally won a ring in houston. It just would have been wierd for him to play in Portland. I think the rockets have no regrets taking dream. They got 3 finals & 2 rings. I can sorta imagine having a goat in my State. We got another famous tar heel in Lawrence Taylor so even though I was too young to watch him play it still feels cool to have the football goat . Anyway poor baby jordan. It sux to be hyped up by the media compared to ur idol only for it to piss him off & go out of his way to destroy u. I get it when people get compared to established stars , but only before they start their rookie season to give people a sort of understanding if what their game looked like. I remember hearing ewing hailed as the next bill russell. He came in mostly known for her ferocious defense & his stellar college career & 3 NCAA finals trips & 1 championship. He actually became a dominant offensive player & ewing deserves so much respect & I feel he gets over looked bc he never won a ring. He got as close as possible. He was never surrounded by 1 perennial all star. He went to the all star game so many times alone except 1 year starks & oak went with him. A lot of people put karl malone in their top 5 of all time & most put him as the best power fwd of the 90s. Karl had beside him his entire career a fellow dream team member & hof guy in Stockton. Plus they had a good player in jeff hornacek. So I feel if anything people should be harder on karl malone. Stockton has records that will never be broken & is probably ranked as the 3rd best pg of all time & the best pure of of all time. Magic could play all positions & was like a sg. He won a championship playing center. Isiah Thomas was a sg disguised as a pg. Isiah took over games & has to be the best " little man ," ever at 6'1. He may actually be even shorter as athletes pad their stat card with an inch or 2 to look more desirable a prospect. Like dream was listed at 7'0 but many players when they first faced them were surprised at how much shorter he looked on the court in person. Anyway back to comparisons I remember robert horry was called the next scottie pippen. Horry literally is an enigma on how to rate him. He has 7 rings , the most by a player after bill russell. It cant be luck that he won multiple rings 3 separate teams. He also hit so many clutch shots in crucial playoff games. So yea he was on teams that had hof players dream & clyde , shaq & kobe & duncas & parker ( not sure if he is in the hof if not he is borderline ) so the stars did get him the opportunities to be able to get great shots to help win titles but the point is he nailed them. He did it so often every year I'd see the news & watch horry nailed another huge shot & I would say to myself , " again ?" He has a pretty cool nickname that the hof guys give him " big shot bob " he did not put up hof numbers. Not even all star numbers in the regular season but to make clutch after clutch shot over & over to win the only thing that matters : championships. So I think horry is the greatest role player of all time & maybe he should be considered for the HOF. I mean if rodman can be in the hof for mostly rebounds ( yes he had that x Factor that u dont see in the box scores. ) & mutombo is in for his excellent shock blocking why not horry. Larry johnson was compared to the next malone or barkley. Thanks for the video. It is disappointing that he looked so dominant in those college high lights.

I'm with you on this one and I'm seven minutes into the video. Now watching the plays, I see "Baby Jordan" getting more help on Defense and picks on Offense. So, I think at that time if you were a team playing against Jordan, your coach made you play strong help Defense against Jordan. Nice video as always. I think Jordan is also a G.O.A.T because he improved his game when it was weak and even when he had those double teams and teams anticipated him, he averaged points.

I love your videos and you’re a very knowledgeable person but I truly believe LeBron has made it to equal to if not better than Jordan, I don’t know how you can put him a tier below, MJ could not revitalise Wizards like LeBron did for Lakers or even the sloppy team he had in the cavaliers pushing them to finals contention. I am a clippers fan and really cringe when we have to verse Lakers so I’m by far no LeBron fan. But I do believe he is elite.

I saw Miami Heat defenders gave jordan a handicap. A 2 to 3 foot headstart on playing off jordan for defense. Miami heat defenders appear stationary to close to stationary and less intense as oppose to with Miner defenses were closer and intense. Not to mention jordan referee assistance on foul call calls reach in, off hand push off, traveling: pivoting off his heel as opposeto ball of foot(Kobe is guilty of this too), and the list can go on. I know it too from playing basketball. Many players do not like playing defense at all. So in the triple threat offensive isolation style of play it is easy to get by defenders and for defenders to act as if they got beaten/1upped/fooled. And watching this on video at certsin angles make hard to tell if a defender pit forth great effort or any at all. Plus with rules of basket ball the offense has advantage once in motion where the offense player is allowed 2 steps of space to allow for stopping while driving to basket. As a basketball player in offense mode you know from the energyfrom the other player if that defender tried their best to defend you.

I am sorry BUT there is a point in your introduction where you are 1.)misleading players, supporters, fanatics, and others of Basketball 2.) perpetuating mass media narrative without using basic critical thinking skills 3.) Other When you say Kobe Bryant is Jordan mini me. Closest thing to replicate jordan. That there is Blasphemy! Kobe Bryant used an array of Basketball skill sets and emmulated them from studying a number of players use. Jordan was one of them that the Mass Media focused on to an exponential degree. Kobe Bryant used more Hakeem Olajuwan moves blended with jordan style. And used moves ofotherpalyers he talked that headmired growung up. Not only jordan. Please stop being a stereo receiver or switch try to be router.

Kobe earned his name not to be attached to Michael Jordan's . So people need to stop disrespecting Kobe Bryant !! Have some class the man is deceased he wasn't just a great basketball player he built his legacy and no one can take that from him !!!!! Legends never die !! ❤️ R.I.P

A few thoughts: 1. The tier on the list of those compared to MJ, the one with Hill and Penny, they all pretty much would have been great, especially the aforementioned, had injuries not stopped them. Penny and Hill were about to take over the league but never were the same after big injuries. 2. Was Ron Harper really supposed to be "the next MJ?" Was MJ really MJ yet? Harper was drafted just three years after, and while I know Jordan was great right out of the gates, he was hurt most of his soph season and he hadn't won squat yet. 3. I think the Jordan comparisons were coming more from media and fans. He was only drafted 10th overall, after all. He came into the league looking pretty good, actually. The problem with Miner is that he didn't really improve on anything and so he never really got any better. He never really developed a consistent perimeter shot either, if I recall. 4. The college numbers comparison of Miner to Jordan is kind of silly (just one of the many reasons why comparing a player's value by their numbers is absurd at times). Jordan was on a stacked UNC team.

Harold Miner was a rookie. 6’4 Lebron is 6’9 and a lot more skilled. I never want to hear Jordan could guard Lebron again. Jordan had 39 honestly I have watched Lebron drop that in a triple double then listened to Baylis claim he had an average game. Jordan was being guarded by players 3 inches shorter. Lebron is goat
